The factory
Keller Keukenfabriek has been established in Roosendaal, Holland since 1977. The four impressive production halls are light and airy and only state-of-the-art technology is installed. Keller produces according to the just-in-time principle so no large stocks are held. This ensures a fast throughput of products and quick delivery. Keller holds the TNO ISO 9001:2001 certificate for its working processes.
In 2006, 10 million euros were invested in the new production halls along with new storage capacity and state-of-the-art technology. The factory is now 21000m² in terms of floorspace and, further to the investment, Keller is ultra-efficient, cost-effective and dedicated to providing top quality products.
One of the two new machines is the new Homag Tandemline, which incorporates an edge-band machine, and is one of only seven worldwide. It is designed to process high gloss, veneer and melamine sides with two types of glue so that the glued joint will always match the front and edge band.
In addition, the ultramodern MOS lacquer line of Giardina has been installed. This system applies water-borne coatings to three-dimensional turned components which are then cured by the MOS microwave system. Keller's Roosendaal factory is the first one in the Netherlands, and the fifth factory in the world, to employ this system which, incidentally, fulfils the new environment thermionic norms, which will be active in 2007. This lacquer line, which features spraying robots and the MOS microwave system, provides a high quality end product. Moreover, the advanced lacquer line allows Keller to produce lacquered models also in high gloss.
In short, Keller has an impressive production facility which makes it possible to reach the ambitious plans for Keller's future.
